(CLOSED) Peluang proyek: The Support to Development of Islamic Higher Education Project

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (GOI), through the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA), has received financing in the amount of US$ 123.75 million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) towards the cost of “The Support to Development of Islamic Higher Education Project” (Project), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the GOI.

The project will be implemented in four public Islamic Institutions (IAINs), namely IAIN Sumatera Utara (Medan, North Sumatra), IAIN Raden Fatah (Palembang, South Sumatra), IAIN Walisongo (Semarang, Central Java), and IAIN Mataram (Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara) and consists of three components: (i) Improving the access to the Institutes (IAINs); (ii) Improving the Quality of the Institutes (IAINs); and (iii) Support to the Project Management.

The Project will include procurement through international competitive bidding for construction of 33 new building with related infrastructure and facilities (+/- 110,550 m2), and supply and installation of equipment for Integrated Laboratory, ICT Library & resources center, and other faculties as well as furniture. Procurement of the remaining items will be competed locally, i.e. hiring of PMU experts, and consultancy services for detail engineering design, project management and construction supervision, curriculum development and improvement, training of management, academic and non-academic staffs, equipment procurement, and project financial audit.

Procurement of contracts financed by the IsDB will be conducted through the procedures as specified in “the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing” (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services of contracts financed by the IDB will be selected in accordance with “the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing” (current edition).

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the IsDB’s international competitive bidding procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in IsDB Website and international newspaper or magazine of wide international circulation and in local newspapers as required.
